After some seasons just craving for midi lengths, seems that the super mini lengths are back (and don't get me wrong, for me the midi could be here forever!!)! The mini dresses came to highlight our legs, always paired with knee high boots or fancy flats! Basically, it's another way to get into the 60's mood, and what a perfect mood it is!

This is probably the trend that is making me feel more happier about! The little dresses and skirts, the straight coats, the mini heels and long boots... That all looks so feminine! Somewhere between the Gucci and Saint Laurent collections was the perfect amount of sixties I'm needing on my life right now. Oh, and let's not forget the hairs of this decade, what a dream!

Esta é provavelmente a tendência que me deixou mais encantada! Os vestidinhos e mini saias, os casacos rectos, os mini saltos e as botas até ao joelho... Tudo me parece tão, mas tão feminino! Algures entre a colecção da Gucci e a de Saint Laurent está a quantidade exacta de sixties que eu preciso na minha vida neste momento. Ahh, e não esqueçamos os cabelos da década, um verdadeiro sonho à espera de ser aprendido!

August is a really weird month... At the same time that we're loving the Summer and asking that it stays forever, our curiosity about the Fall it's inevitable, maybe it's a human thing (or just a women thing!), but we're also craving to know what's coming next. Let's just make a break, kill our curiosity, and remain in the mood for Summer for another month and a half. Here it is five major trends that we will be wearing next Fall.

Se por um lado estamos todas em mood Verão, e só queremos que ele fique para sempre (ainda que tenha estado fraquinho); por outro lado, já estamos a morrer de curiosidade sobre a próxima estação e o que vem aí. Por isso, vamos apenas fazer uma curtíssima pausa, matar a nossa curiosidade, e logo, logo voltar ao mood Verão por mais um mês e meio. Aqui estão cinco das principais tendências que estaremos mortas por usar na próxima estação.

1. Bright Contrasting Colors

This is going to be a really fulfilled of color season, great for combat the usual darkness in the tones usually worn for Fall! Kind of a return to the color block, now the colors appears always in contrast, the brighter the tones, more gorgeous the effect. Pink and Red? A must for the season, it appeared tons of times in the runways. Purple and Green? Jewel tones are always magnificent together. Green and Blue? Just try it. I think the They Match rubric could be quite useful right now to make us all understand how so many colors works perfectly together.

I must admit that I'm a little 'guilty' about this, because I'm crazy about naked shoulders. It's such a beautiful, perfect part of the feminine body. Spring 2014: the white shirt

Linda, basiquinha e mega versátil, para usar com tudo e mais qualquer coisa, e em todos os estilos que possamos imaginar... Essa é a camisa branca que todas conhecemos e amamos, aquele básico que faz parte do guarda-roupa de quase todas as mulheres deste mundo, e que merece muita admiração. Sempre existiu e sempre existirá, mas esta Primavera/Verão ganhou todo um novo destaque. Se ela já era básica, imaginem agora que virou tendência!

Pretty, super basic and ultra versatile, to wear with anything you can imagine, in every kind of styles... This is the white shirt that we all know and love, that basic that belongs to the wardrobe of almost every woman, and that deserves a lot of admiration. It exists for years, but this Spring/Summer it deserves a whole new highlighting. If it was a basic on the past, imagine it now that it turned into a trend!

SS14: Pastel Tones

Os tons candy estão de volta para alegrar os nossos dias mais quentes, e entretanto, nada como aproveitar a tendência para dar alguma cor aos ainda longos dias de Inverno que temos pela frente! Os meus preferidos são os tons monocromáticos, dos pés à cabeça em modo lovely; mas o mais usável acabam por ser os apontamentos de cor apenas numa peça; e ainda mais arriscado, e girooo, é a opção misturar dois ou mais tons candy.

The candy colors are back to give lots of joy to our hot days, and meanwhile, nothing like enjoy this coming trend, to give lots of colors to the still long days of Winter until Summer! My favorites are the monochromatic tones, from the head to the toes in a lovely mood; but the most wearable, are the simple pops of color in just one piece; even more risky, and cuteeee, it's the option of mixing two or more candy tones.

The Skirts of SS14

As saias são, para mim, uma peça super essencial o ano inteiro, mas claro que é no Verão que entram no seu auge... Acho que quase ninguém resiste a uma ou mais saia durante a estação quente! Por isso, depois do arco-irís da próxima estação, vamos espreitar as saias da vez...

The skirts are for me a essential piece during the whole year, but of course that it's a piece that achieves it peak during the Summer... I believe that almost anyone could resist to one or more skirt during the hot season!  So, after the rainbow of next season, let's look at the skirts we'll be wearing...

Saias Cruzadas: um dos maiores hits da próxima estação, a ideia é deixar as nossas pernas brilhar, com todo o destaque possível. Pessoalmente, quanto mais compridas, mais eu adoro o resultado, como no primeiro look.

Fendas: a ideia permanece no destaque às pernas, mas tende a ser um pouco mais discreto, e diria mesmo, elegante.

Crossover Skirts: one of the biggest hits for next season. The idea is basically to leave your legs be the stars, with all the highlight that is possible. I'm loving the longer versions, like in the first look.

Splits: the idea remains the same, but it tends to be a little bit more discrete, and I would even say, more elegant.

The Rainbow of Spring 2014

O início do ano é quase sinónimo automático de já só conseguirmos pensar no que vem aí... Afinal, passamos o ano inteiro a sonhar com o Verão, com o calor e com muita cor, e em pleno Janeiro já não há muito em que pensar sobre o Inverno e já tendemos a estar todas mais que fartas do frio e da chuva, certo meninas? Vamos começar a abrir o apetite à Primavera, sim? E o que melhor do que uma inteira palette de cores para nos pormos já a sonhar!? Cor é sinónimo de Verão, e isso já é tudo o que queremos.

The beginning of the year is an automatic synonymous of a big curiosity about what's next... After all, we spend the whole year dreaming about Summer, about the heat & with lots of color, and in the middle of January I truly believe we're already so sick of the cold and the rain, there is literally nothing more to think about the Winter, right ladies? So, let's start looking little by little into Spring? And what could be better than a whole palette of colors to make us a dream about!? After all, color is the greatest synonymous of Summer, and that is all we want right now.

E porque é dia de fim de ano, vamos olhar para trás e absorver tudo o que se passou durante 2013? Foi um ano bem amado, que merece não ser esquecido!

And because it's the last day of the year, let's look back and absorb everything that happened during 2013? It was a loved year, still is, that deserves to be remembered!

Para mim, a categoria mais importante, mas também a mais complicada! Ao lado destas tendências destacadas, poderiam estar muitas outras que também amei! Assim...

- As midi skirts fizeram as delícias deste ano, não tem como não amar! Feminino, romântico e cheio de vida. Merece de todo o primeiro lugar como tendência mais amada!

- Depois, os polémicos crop tops. Acho que foram tão amados, como detestados! Eu, com alguma moderação, confesso, rendi-me a eles.

- Os sapatos metalizados chegaram e arrasaram, mas de forma bem discreta, quase sem anunciarem a sua chegada enquanto tendência... Quase todas acabámos por calçar sapatos metalizados, sem sequer nos apercebermos que eram uma grande tendência!

- E porque não como deixar de destacar o lugar do cor-de-rosa neste ano, aqui está ele em modo menção honrosa.

For me, the most important category, but also the more tricky one! Aside from my chosen trends, could be much more others that I've also loved a lot! So...

- The midi skirts were the delight of this year, no way to not love it! Feminine, romantic and full of life. Totally deserves this first place as most loved trend!

- Then the super polemic crop tops. I think they were so loved as they were hated during the year! With some moderation, I confess that I've surrounded to them.

- The metallic shoes arrive and completely rocked the year, but in a discrete way, almost without announcing that it were a trend... Almost all ladies started to wearing metallic shoes, without being aware of the big trend it were.

- And because there is no way of not highlighting the pink this year, here it are as a honorable mention.

Grey is the New Black

Talvez o título seja um pouquinho exagerado, mas parece-me mesmo que o cinzento é uma cor-chave para esta estação (na verdade, para qualquer Inverno). Nunca me lembro de ter visto tanto cinzento por aí, como este ano! Combinado com outras cores, vai mesmo bem com tudo e mais alguma coisa, ou simplesmente em modo monocromático, que eu amo! É daquelas cores mesmo, mesmo versáteis, e que conseguem deixar qualquer look bem sóbrio e elegante.

Olho para o cinzento como uma excelente alternativa ao preto. Sempre me lembro de dizer que o cinzento era o meu preto, e apesar de a pouco e pouco já me ter viciado na versatilidade e elegância do preto, não há dúvida de que o cinzento continua a ser uma escolha de eleição.

Maybe the title is a little too much to say, but I'm really obsessing about grey as a key-color for this season (truly, for any Winter). I really don't remind of seeing so much grey around the world, like this year! Matched with other colors, because it really looks great with literally anything, or simply in monochromatic way, that I truly love! It's one of that colors really really versatile, and that always left a look quite sober and elegant.

I've always looked for grey as a perfect alternative to black, and I even remember of being a teen and always said that grey is my black... I'm already pretty addicted to the versatility of black, but grey totally have a place on my heart.

Elas estão por todo o lado e com grande distinção para esta estação. Claro que os padrões surgem mais sóbrios e mais neutrais, mas provavelmente ainda mais reais.

A escolha faz-se entre apenas as flores em si mesmas, ou pô-las em contraste com outros padrões e/ou cores.

Não só me parecem um modo perfeito de dar alguma vida aos nossos dias frios, como também é óptimo para trazermos à rua algumas das nossas peças mais primaveris com um toque de Outono, que são perfeitamente adaptáveis quando vestidas com peças bem quentinhas.

Flowers for Fall, who said we couldn't!?

They are everywhere and with some big distinction this season. Of course that the sober and neutral patterns dominate the actuality, but they look even more real.

The choice basically goes between only the flowers by themselves, or to put them in contrast with another patterns and/or colors.

It's not only a perfect way of bringing some live to our cold days, like is also great to give to some of our Spring pieces, another chance to bright with a Fall touch, because the most of them, are perfectly adapted when worn with some quite warm pieces.

A obsessão/necessidade por casacos novos começa quase sempre a meio de Outubro.

Por mais que o Outono já tenha começado, só agora é que o frio se tende a começar a sentir.

É raro o ano em que não deseje um ou mais novo modelo para juntar à 'colecção',

afinal, as tendências mudam, uns vão precisando de renovação e outros são simplesmente paixão à primeira vista!

The obsession/need for new coats always starts in the middle of October.

The Fall already began, but only now we really start to feel the cold.

Não há nenhuma cor que mais associe à estação fria, e o contraste delicado e super bonito é quase sempre garantido com um bom casaco vermelho.

In my head, red coat is the biggest synonymous of Winter!

There is no other color that I associate to the cold season like red, and the delicate and beautiful contrast is almost a certain we have when wearing a good red coat.

Outra tendência bastante óbvia para este Outono/Inverno:

as over the knee boots, ou neste caso, mais precisamente as legging boots!

Costumava detestá-las quando à uns anos eram tendência, mas de repente admito-me bastante seduzida com a ideia, é mesmo caso para dizer nunca digas nunca.

Mesmo assim continuo a ter algumas restrições quanto aos modelos desejados: só gosto mesmo dos modelos em camurça, que ficam bem colados e subidos na perna, quase como se vestíssemos umas calças, de preferência com um vestido ou uma saia logo logo por cima, sem sequer deixar o fim das botas à vista.

Another quite obvious trend on the runways for this Fall/Winter:

the over the knee boots, or most precisely, in this case the legging boots!

I used to hate it when some years ago this was a great trend, but suddenly I admit to feel really seduced about it, it's really a perfect example of the never say never quote.

But, I still keep some restrictions about the desired models: I think I only like the suede models, that looks really like we're wearing a pair of jeans, and paired with a dress or a skirt right over, without letting see the end of the boots.
