Retrospective 2013

E porque é dia de fim de ano, vamos olhar para trás e absorver tudo o que se passou durante 2013? Foi um ano bem amado, que merece não ser esquecido!

Para mim, a categoria mais importante, mas também a mais complicada! Ao lado destas tendências destacadas, poderiam estar muitas outras que também amei! Assim...

- As midi skirts fizeram as delícias deste ano, não tem como não amar! Feminino, romântico e cheio de vida. Merece de todo o primeiro lugar como tendência mais amada!

- Depois, os polémicos crop tops. Acho que foram tão amados, como detestados! Eu, com alguma moderação, confesso, rendi-me a eles.

- Os sapatos metalizados chegaram e arrasaram, mas de forma bem discreta, quase sem anunciarem a sua chegada enquanto tendência... Quase todas acabámos por calçar sapatos metalizados, sem sequer nos apercebermos que eram uma grande tendência!

- E porque não como deixar de destacar o lugar do cor-de-rosa neste ano, aqui está ele em modo menção honrosa.

For me, the most important category, but also the more tricky one! Aside from my chosen trends, could be much more others that I've also loved a lot! So...

- The midi skirts were the delight of this year, no way to not love it! Feminine, romantic and full of life. Totally deserves this first place as most loved trend!

- Then the super polemic crop tops. I think they were so loved as they were hated during the year! With some moderation, I confess that I've surrounded to them.

- The metallic shoes arrive and completely rocked the year, but in a discrete way, almost without announcing that it were a trend... Almost all ladies started to wearing metallic shoes, without being aware of the big trend it were.

- And because there is no way of not highlighting the pink this year, here it are as a honorable mention.

Mulheres completamente diferentes, com estilos quase opostos

e que optaram por seguir caminhos completamente diferentes quando grávidas!

The comparisons are inevitable!

After all, they are the most famous pregnant of the moment..

Or they were, until Kim has her baby yesterday.

Kate Middleton vs. Kim Kardashian

Completely different women, with almost opposite styles

and that opted for completely different ways while they're pregnant!

É mais que certo que eu admiro imensooo a Kate,

acho-a super super elegante, e já tínhamos falado do estilo dela aqui.

Não fugiu do que nos habituou antes da gravidez,

e elegância foi sempre o ponto de partida dos looks dela!

Quase sempre, usou casacos que fizeram o próprio look,

acabando por disfarçar a barriguinha até bastante tarde..

It's more than certain that I admire Kate hugely,

I think that she is super super elegant, and we already have talked about her style here.

She didn't run from what she used us before the pregnancy,

and elegance has always been the start point of her looks!

But she almost ever, worn coats that made the whole look,

ending to disguise the belly until pretty late..

The Women of Cannes

As mulheres de Cannes, sempre esmeradas e especialmente carismáticas desta vez.

Já tinhamos falado da gala do AMFAR que sucedeu em pleno clima de Cannes,

mas não podia mesmo deixar passar duas semanas de passadeiras vermelhas

recheadas de vestidos completamente to die for!

Eu sei, eu sei que Cannes já lá vai, mas a falta de tempo tem sido grande..

E tantas que eu amei, tão poucas que não me agradaram!

Vamos apenas falar desses extremos..

E o meu top 10 que acabou por se transformar num top 20!

The women of Cannes, always impressing and specially charismatic for this time.

We've talk about the AMFAR Gala here, that has succeed in plain ambiance of Cannes,

but I could not resist to talk about those two weeks of beautiful red carpets,

completely fulfilled of dresses to die for!

I know, I know that Cannes it's almost an old issue, but the lack of time has been huge..

So many that I love, so few that I dislike!

So, let's only talk about these extremes..

And my top 10 eventually have became a top 20!

AMFAR 2013

Em pleno clima de Cannes, eis que ocorreu a gala do AMFAR.

E a grande surpresa para mim,

foi não haver nada nem ninguém que eu detestasse!

Todas as convidadas surgiram bem agradáveis e elegantes!

Por isso ficam simplesmente as minhas 10 favoritas por ordem.

In plain mood of Cannes, occurred the AMFAR gala.

The biggest surprise for me,

is that everyone appeared quite nice and elegant!

No one to dislike this time!

So, there is my 10 favorites in order.

Red Carpet | Oscars

Tapete vermelho bem fraquinho, nem parece que estávamos em noite de Oscars!

Acho que no final de tudo, nenhum vestido foi marcante o suficiente,

e que nos próximos anos mal nos vamos recordar de qualquer um dos vestidos.

Muitas celebridades em falta - Emma Stone, Angelina Jolie..

e o resultado foi decerto desanimador!

Very weak red carpet, didn't even seems like Oscars evening!

I think that after all, none of the dresses was enough impactful,

and in the next years we surely won't remember any of this dresses.

Many celebrities haven't been present - Emma Stone, Angeline Jolie..

and the result was certainly disappointing!

Minhas favoritas! 

Taylor Swift | Não há como negar, já aqui tinha dito anteriormente e volto a repetir,

Taylor Swift está em plena ascensão de estilo meninas!

Basta olhar para esse decote profundo para ver que existe algo de bem novo e diferente nela,

já para não falar no complemento perfeito: os brincos statement. Ela foi mesmo a minha favorita!

Chloe-Moretz | Logo logo depois, também fiquei muito encantada

com esse vestido meio neon e rendado em Chloe-Moretz,

é verdade que não é muito cara de red carpet, mas todas sabemos que este foi um evento mais soft.

Kaley Cuoco | Era a apresentadora do evento, fartou-se de mudar de outfits,

mas este foi mesmo o meu favorito.

A cor que tinha tudo para nela morrer, ficou linda, delicada e romântica.

Runner Willis | Já esse vestido longo também entra para o meu top!

Primeiro, não há como não amar lantejoulas em modo elegante num evento destes;

Segundo, adorei essas riscas na diagonal

Terceiro, as cores em conjunto ficaram lindas.

Taylor Swift | There is no denying, I've already said this before and I will say it again

Taylor Swift is booming in style, girls!

Just look at that deep neckline and see that there is something quite new and different about her,

not to mention the perfect complement: statement earrings. She was my favorite!

Chloe Moretz | Then I was also very delighted with that dress in lace and half neon that she wore.

Kaley Cuoco | As the host of the event, she changed outfits several times

 but this one was my favorite. The color of the dress had everything to not work in her but it looks gorgeous, delicate and romantic.

Runner Willis | This long dress also is in my top!

First, there is no way not to love sequins in a classy way;

Second, I loved these diagonal stripes; Third, the colors became gorgeous together.

Julianne Hough | Surgiu com este vestido meio galáctico,

mas não há como não adorar um vestido bem rodado!

Katie Cassidy | Com um look bem invulgar numa red carpet,

afinal macacão não é para todas, mas o resultado ficou muito elegante!

Naomi Watts | É daquelas mulheres tão diva,

que não precisa de vestir nada de especial para só por si e pela sua postura estar super especial,

e esse é mais um caso que nos mostra isso!

Rachel Leigh Cook | Em turquesa. Simples, mas assim também não há como errar.

jumpsuits aren't for everyone but the result was very elegant!

mas desta vez fiquei na dúvida e não consegui ainda entender bem o vestido.

Heidi Klum | Esses recortes ao longo do vestido só me fazem lembrar cobras,

e admitamos que não me parece a melhor associação para o vestido.

Lea Michele | Foi mesmo quem me deixou mais indecisão.

Estou naquela linha entre o amar doida por rosa e o detestar demasiado!?.

Jennifer Aniston | Trouxe um vestido que é totalmente a cara dela (pele!),

e eu acho que gosto, mas a aparência de abajur está-me a deixar na dúvida.

but this time I had doubts and I didn't understand very well the dress.

Heidi Klum | These cutouts along the dress only remind me snakes,

and let's admit that it not seem the best combination for the dress.

Lea Michele | She left me in a big indecision.

I'm on that line between love crazy about pink and hate too much!?.

Jennifer Aniston | Used a dress that it is entirely her face (leather!),

and I think I've liked, but the appearance of lampshade leaves me in doubt.

Olivia Munn | Para mim, o corte do vestido foi simplesmente estranho demais!

Paris Hilton | A desaparecida trouxe um vestido mesmo nada apropriado para o evento,

e os sapatos não combinaram.

Sandra Bullock | Esse vestido/saia é mais executiva do que propriamente festiva,

por isso não me agradou.

Katy Perry | Surgiu com um vestido que não me agradou,

não gostei do estilo campestre, e penso que saiu bem envelhecida.

Huum, Not!

Olivia Munn | For me, the cutting of this dress is simply too weird!

Paris Hilton | The disappeared brought a dress that really wasn't appropriate for the event,

and the shoes simply didn't match.

Sandra Bullock | That dress/skirt is more executive than properly festive,

so I didn't like it.

Katy Perry  | Came up with a dress that I didn't like,

the country style is not for this event and I think she looked older.

Celebrities | Retrospective 2012

E porque as celebridades também são uma parte muito importante do nosso trabalho e inspiração, aqui fica uma pequena secção dedicada a estas.

And because celebrities are also a big part of our work and inspiration, here is a little section dedicated to them.

Desde logo, houve certos vestidos utilizados durante este ano que não me saíram da cabeça e que me apaixonaram.

O meu preferido de todos os looks utilizados este ano foi sem dúvida este vestido Burberry utilizado pela Emma Stone. Quando a vi apenas disse UAUUU, fiquei apaixonada apaixonada apaixonada! Os materiais utilizados eram fantásticos, as cores eram lindissímas, e ainda para mais, o detalhe do peplum apaixona-me sempre.

Depois, em segundo lugar, um vestido também lindíssimo e super trabalhado, utilizado pela Tayor Swift. Achei que combinou muito bem com ela, e os detalhes eram para lá de lindos.

A minha terceira escolha vai para este vestidinho utilizado pela Emma Watson, simples e elaborado ao mesmo tempo, adequou-se a ela e deixou-me fascinada.

Uma menção honrosa super merecida para Kate Middleton, cujo título de duquesa de Cambridge sempre lhe exige muito na hora de se vestir, e mesmo assim consegue estar sempre super elegante e na moda em simultâneo! Este vestido é simplesmente de princesa, a cor é linda, o corte é fantástico, e os detalhes em renda seduziram-me totalmente!

Let's begin with the dresses thar almost made me die in love this year, and that doesn't leave my head since I seen them.

My most loved look of this year was undoubtedly this Burberry dress worn by Emma Stone. When I saw her I've just said WOW, I´ve loved loved loved! The materials are amazing, the colors are gorgeous, and the detail peplum detail always makes me in love.

Then in second, an also gorgeous dress worn by Taylor Swift. I've thought that the dress combine greatly with her, and the multiple details of the dress are just beautiful.

Third choice goes to this little dress of Emma Watson, it's simples and elaborated at the same time, and it was a good choice for her that once more left me in love.

A honorable mention for Kate Middleton, which title of duchess of Cambridge always made her to be so much careful with what she wears, but she always turns out to be super elegant and fashionable at the same time! This dress is simply a princess dress, the color is so beautiful, the cutting is amazing and the details in lace really have seduced me!

Depos disso, nada como eleger aquelas famosinhas que estiveram sempre super lá em cima na hora de estar para lá de apresentáveis e de nos inspirar imenso, aquelas que foram as mais fashionistas de todas e a quem nós não conseguimos resistir.

A minha preferida foi mesmo Miranda Kerr. A angel soube estar sempre super bem, elegante e inspiradora onde quer que foi, e sempre com o seu sorriso enigmático. Acho que este primeiro lugar lhe é muito merecido depois deste ano tão arrasador.

Segundo lugar para Emma Stone que todas sabemos que é uma querida e tem aquele estilo muito amoroso tal e qual como eu gosto! Este ano ela foi exactamente igual àquilo que já nos tinha dado a conhecer no ano anterior, e talvez por isso tenha acabado por não se evidenciar tanto quanto outras, mas eu gosto dela assim!

Para mim, este foi o ano em que deixei de ver Taylor Swift como uma 'menina', de repente comecei a reparar nela, e especialmente nas red carpets, em que apesar de fiel a ela própria, se soube evidenciar e gritar ao mundo que cresceu. Gostei da mudança subtil e espero que seja ainda melhor nesse próximo ano.

Menção honrosa para a minha querida Olivia Palermo, afinal, pode até nem ter sido o seu melhor ano e nem se ter evidenciado muito, mas para mim ela sempre se manterá como a rainha do estilo, e será para sempre a minha maior inspiração.

After that, nothing like electing the celebrities who have been always on the top in the time of being perfect and inspiring ourselves, that ones who have been the most fashionistas of all and who we cannot resist.

My favorite is Miranda Kerr. The angel always knows how to be elegant and inspiring everywhere she goes and she always mantain that enigmatic smile. I really think that this first place is very well deserved after this fantastic year for her.

Second place for Emma Stone that we all know it's a sweetheart and she has the cutest style exactly the way I love! This year she was exactly the same than the last year and maybe this is the reason why she didn't stand out more, but I like her exactly like that.

For me, this was the year that I've began to see Taylor Swift like someone more than a 'little girl', specially on the red carpets, although she was faithful to herself, she knows how to scream to the world that she has grown up. I've liked the subtle change and I hope that it will be even better next year.

Honorable mention for my dear Olivia Palermo, after all, it may not be her best year, but for me she will always be the queen of the style and the greatest inspiration of all!

Posto isto, está feita a minha retrospectiva essencial deste ano, e tudo o que desejo e que o ano de 2013 seja ainda melhor e traga tudo de fantástico a todas vós!

Having said this, my essencial retrospective of the year is done, and all I hope is that the year of 2013 is either better and brings everything of fantastic for everyone who is reading!

Red Carpet | 64th Emmy Awards

Na última semana aconteceu a 64ª edição dos Emmy. Este evento tem como objectivo premiar os vários programas e séries que passam na televisão americana e o tapete vermelho é uma delícia. Esta edição não foi uma excepção e o resultado agradou-me bastante! Entre January Jones e Hayden Panettiere foi-me muito muito difícil de escolher, adorei ambos os vestidos e considero que estavam realmente perfeitas! Aqui estão as minhas favoritas.

The 64th Emmy Awards occurred last week. This event serves to award the several programs and series from the American television and the red carpet moments are a huge excitement. This year was no exception and the result pleased me a lot! Between January Jones and Hayden Panettiere, it was very very hard to choose, I love both dresses and I think they are really perfect!
