11. Flirty Little Dresses

After some seasons just craving for midi lengths, seems that the super mini lengths are back (and don't get me wrong, for me the midi could be here forever!!)! The mini dresses came to highlight our legs, always paired with knee high boots or fancy flats! Basically, it's another way to get into the 60's mood, and what a perfect mood it is!

Depois de umas temporadas a venerar apenas os comprimentos midi, parece que o mini se revoltou e regressou em grande força (não me entendam mal, estou tão apaixonada pelo midi, que por mim ficava para sempre!!). Os mini vestidinhos regressam para deixar as nossas pernas em alto destaque, sempre combinados com botas pelo joelho ou sapatos rasos cheios de brilho e personalidade! Basicamente, é outra forma de entrar no mood 60's, e que mood perfeito é esse!

6. 60's

This is probably the trend that is making me feel more happier about! The little dresses and skirts, the straight coats, the mini heels and long boots... That all looks so feminine! Somewhere between the Gucci and Saint Laurent collections was the perfect amount of sixties I'm needing on my life right now. Oh, and let's not forget the hairs of this decade, what a dream!

Esta é provavelmente a tendência que me deixou mais encantada! Os vestidinhos e mini saias, os casacos rectos, os mini saltos e as botas até ao joelho... Tudo me parece tão, mas tão feminino! Algures entre a colecção da Gucci e a de Saint Laurent está a quantidade exacta de sixties que eu preciso na minha vida neste momento. Ahh, e não esqueçamos os cabelos da década, um verdadeiro sonho à espera de ser aprendido!

5 Trends We'll be Wearing Next Fall

August is a really weird month... At the same time that we're loving the Summer and asking that it stays forever, our curiosity about the Fall it's inevitable, maybe it's a human thing (or just a women thing!), but we're also craving to know what's coming next. Let's just make a break, kill our curiosity, and remain in the mood for Summer for another month and a half. Here it is five major trends that we will be wearing next Fall.

Agosto é mesmo um mês estranho... Se por um lado estamos todas em mood Verão, e só queremos que ele fique para sempre (ainda que tenha estado fraquinho); por outro lado, já estamos a morrer de curiosidade sobre a próxima estação e o que vem aí. Por isso, vamos apenas fazer uma curtíssima pausa, matar a nossa curiosidade, e logo, logo voltar ao mood Verão por mais um mês e meio. Aqui estão cinco das principais tendências que estaremos mortas por usar na próxima estação.

1. Bright Contrasting Colors

This is going to be a really fulfilled of color season, great for combat the usual darkness in the tones usually worn for Fall! Kind of a return to the color block, now the colors appears always in contrast, the brighter the tones, more gorgeous the effect. Pink and Red? A must for the season, it appeared tons of times in the runways. Purple and Green? Jewel tones are always magnificent together. Green and Blue? Just try it. I think the They Match rubric could be quite useful right now to make us all understand how so many colors works perfectly together.

O Inverno vai sem dúvida ser uma estação recheada de cor, óptimo para combater a habitual escuridão de tons tão associada ao Inverno, maravilhoso para tentar manter um estado de espírito alegre e positivo! Como que um regresso ao color block, agora as cores aparecem sempre em contraste, e quanto mais brilhantes e vivos forem os tons, mais divertido será o efeito. Cor-de-rosa e vermelho? Um must da estação, apareceu em dezenas de desfiles. Roxo e verde? Tons de jóia têm tudo para ficarem maravilhosos juntos. Azul e verde? Porque não!? Se ainda têm dúvidas, espreitem a rúbrica They Match e deliciem-se com o quão bem podem resultar estas combinações improváveis.

The Beauty of Slingbacks

It looks like there is a new passion when the subject is shoes: the slingback model. From one moment to another I've realized that I was indulging about slingback I've been seeing. It can be so girly as edgy, coming lots of times with the most adorable bows we can imagine, and looking so perfectly elegant at the same time. A simple detail that makes all the difference on the classic stiletto, and that's everything I need right now, perfection in shape of a shoe.

Parece que fui invadida por uma nova paixão no que toca a sapatos: o modelo slingback. De um momento para o outro dei por mim completamente fascinada por este modelo onde quer que o visse. Tão girly quanto edgy, muitas vezes ainda com laçarotes absolutamente adoráveis, e parecendo sempre o cúmulo da elegância ao mesmo tempo. Um detalhe perfeito que pode fazer toda a diferença no eterno e clássico stiletto, e isso é tudo o que desejo neste momento: perfeição em forma de sapato.

Haute Couture Fall 2014

Oh Couture, what a season of pure beauty! The most inaccessible of all of us, but definitely the most beautiful to our eyes. There is no trends, there is no real life there, just an absolute fascination show after show, look after look. Once again, leave you with my 8 favorites.

Ohh Alta Costura, que semana de tamanha beleza! A mais distante de todas as temporadas da moda, pelo menos para nós, comuns mortais, mas definitivamente a mais bela de todas. Não há tendências para nos apaixonar, não há inspiração para a vida real aqui, apenas e só uma absoluta fascinação que inevitavelmente surge desfile após desfile, look após look. Aqui estão os meus 8 favoritos.

What there is to love? Starting with the more than beautiful striped and graphic looks in B&W, passing through the incredible 3D flowers (already a classic from Giambattista), ending with the indescribable degrade models. To die for.

O que há para amar? Começando pelos looks gráficos em preto e branco, passando pelas flores tridimensionais (já um clássico nos desfiles de Giambattista), e terminando nos indescritíveis modelos degrade. To die for.

Resort 2015 Report

The months of May and June were fulfilled of presentations for the Resort season, and it came so perfectly at this moment, after all, the most of the countries are starting to live the Summer right now, and Resort collections are all about funny colors, interesting patterns and fresh clothes, meaning, inspiration to wear in this precise moment! I've selected my favorite collections, and believe me when I say that it was a truly tricky thing to do, so in the end, we have the usual loose pieces.

Os meses de Maio e Junho são completamente preenchidos pelas apresentações da temporada Resort, e vêm em tão bom momento, afinal, estamos agora a viver o início do Verão, e as colecções Resort são tudo acerca de cores giras e divertidas, padrões interessantes e roupas frescas, o que significa, inspiração para vestir já, já, já! Seleccionei as minhas colecções favoritas, e acreditem quando digo que foi uma tarefa verdadeiramente complicada, e no final, temos as habituais peças soltas.

What there is to love? The fancy pencil skirts, made by really interesting and unusual fabrics, that were so perfectly mixed with the top garments.

O que há para amar? As saias lápis, feitas de tecidos interessantes e pouco usuais, que foram perfeitamente misturadas com todas as restantes peças.

Round-up into PFW

Algumas pessoas dizem que o melhor fica para o fim, e no caso concreto das Fashion Weeks serei forçada a concordar. Por mais que ame o frenetismo da NYFW (ver aqui!); por mais que sempre me impressione com a originalidade sempre presente na LFW (ver aqui!); ou por mais que adore toda a exuberância dos desfiles da MFW (ver aqui!); a verdade é que a Paris Fashion Week acaba sempre por ser a minha preferida, aquela onde se assiste ao reinventar de clássicos, onde desfilam os designers mais icónicos e que mais me fascinam! Tendo-se ontem dado o final da semana da moda de Paris, deixo-vos com os meus desfiles mais adorados, o que foi uma escolha mega difícil!

Some people use to say that the best always remains for the end, and in this concrete casa, about the major Fashion Weeks I would have to agree with that. For more that I love the frenetic feelings about NYFW (see it here!); for more that I always get impressed by the originality always present on LFW (see it here!); or for more that I adore all the exuberance that surrounds the fashion shows in MFW (see it here!); the truth is that my absolutely perfect fashion week always turns out to be the Paris Fashion Week. This is the one where we can see the reinvention of classics, where the most iconic designers presents their shows! As today was the last day, I'll leave you with my most loved fashion shows, what was surely a super hard decision!

The Skirts of SS14

As saias são, para mim, uma peça super essencial o ano inteiro, mas claro que é no Verão que entram no seu auge... Acho que quase ninguém resiste a uma ou mais saia durante a estação quente! Por isso, depois do arco-irís da próxima estação, vamos espreitar as saias da vez...

The skirts are for me a essential piece during the whole year, but of course that it's a piece that achieves it peak during the Summer... I believe that almost anyone could resist to one or more skirt during the hot season!  So, after the rainbow of next season, let's look at the skirts we'll be wearing...

Saias Cruzadas: um dos maiores hits da próxima estação, a ideia é deixar as nossas pernas brilhar, com todo o destaque possível. Pessoalmente, quanto mais compridas, mais eu adoro o resultado, como no primeiro look.

Fendas: a ideia permanece no destaque às pernas, mas tende a ser um pouco mais discreto, e diria mesmo, elegante.

Crossover Skirts: one of the biggest hits for next season. The idea is basically to leave your legs be the stars, with all the highlight that is possible. I'm loving the longer versions, like in the first look.

Splits: the idea remains the same, but it tends to be a little bit more discrete, and I would even say, more elegant.

Pre-Fall 2014 II

E eis a continuação das colecções Pre-Fall 2014, ou pelo menos, aquelas que me deixaram rendida.

Here it are the continuation of Pre-Fall 2014 collections, or at least, those that make me fell in love.

Raf Simons é um génio da moda, a sério! Por mais queixas e críticas às formas pouco favorecedoras do corpo feminino, acredito que essas são as excepções, e que maioritariamente, os modelos são lindíssimos, femininos e cheios de classe, mas com um qualquer twist de originalidade! Aplausos para Raf Simons, mais uma vez!

Raf Simons is a fashion genius, seriously girls! I have been hearing some complains and critics about the shapes, not so friendly of the feminine body, but I believe those are exceptional cases, and that mainly, the models are superbly beautiful, feminine and full of class, but with some twist of originality! Once again, applause for Raf Simons!

The Rainbow of Spring 2014

O início do ano é quase sinónimo automático de já só conseguirmos pensar no que vem aí... Afinal, passamos o ano inteiro a sonhar com o Verão, com o calor e com muita cor, e em pleno Janeiro já não há muito em que pensar sobre o Inverno e já tendemos a estar todas mais que fartas do frio e da chuva, certo meninas? Vamos começar a abrir o apetite à Primavera, sim? E o que melhor do que uma inteira palette de cores para nos pormos já a sonhar!? Cor é sinónimo de Verão, e isso já é tudo o que queremos.

The beginning of the year is an automatic synonymous of a big curiosity about what's next... After all, we spend the whole year dreaming about Summer, about the heat & with lots of color, and in the middle of January I truly believe we're already so sick of the cold and the rain, there is literally nothing more to think about the Winter, right ladies? So, let's start looking little by little into Spring? And what could be better than a whole palette of colors to make us a dream about!? After all, color is the greatest synonymous of Summer, and that is all we want right now.

Red Carpet Season: 10 (20!!) Dresses I Would Love to See

A temporada dos tapetes vermelhos está a chegar, e eu não resisti a partilhar convosco 10 vestidos ou quase-vestidos que adorava ver em alguma celebridade, num dos imensos eventos que ocorrem durantes os próximos dois meses! Celebridades deste mundo, façam-me a vontade: esmerem-se, apareçam lindas e maravilhosas, e já agora escolham algum destes vestidinhos, ahaha. Até dia 2 de Março, data dos Óscares, esperam-se MUITOOS tapetes vermelhos para fazer as nossas delícias, ou pelo menos assim esperamos...

The Red Carpet season is almost starting, and I just couldn't resist to show you 10 dresses or almost-dresses that I would love to see on some celebrity, in any of those events that occurs during the following two months! So, celebrities of this world, please make my wish: show us the best of you, appear gorgeous, and with one of those dresses preferably, haha. Until 2th March, Oscars date, we will be expecting a LOT of red carpets to make our delights, or at least we hope that...

Alice + Olivia | Adorava tanto ver assim um conjunto crop + saia longa. Tão feminino e bem fora do óbvio.

Elie Saab | O designer acerta sempre... Tantas opções maravilhosas por Elie, mas este é sem dúvida a minha eleição. Elegante, bonito e eterno.

Giambattista Valli | Bem sei que o mullet foi uma tendência mais que saturada, mas este vestido é todo ele muito especial!

J. Mendel | Para um bom tapete vermelho, um fabuloso vestido vermelho não pode falhar.

Reem Acra | Love at first sight, what else!?

Alice + Olivia | I would love so much to see a crop + long skirt on the red carpet. So feminine and so out of the obvious.

Elie Saab | The designer that always makes the best of the best... So many marvelous options, but this one is my favorite one. Elegant, beautiful and eternal.

Giambattista Valli | I know that the mullet was a more than saturated trend, but this dress looks so special.

J. Mendel | For a good red carpet, a fabulous red dress couldn't be missing.

The Coats of the Season

A obsessão/necessidade por casacos novos começa quase sempre a meio de Outubro.

Por mais que o Outono já tenha começado, só agora é que o frio se tende a começar a sentir.

É raro o ano em que não deseje um ou mais novo modelo para juntar à 'colecção',

afinal, as tendências mudam, uns vão precisando de renovação e outros são simplesmente paixão à primeira vista!

Deixo-vos com os modelos tendência para esta estação, aqueles que se viram tanto, tanto nas Fashion Weeks, que quase automaticamente viraram obsessão.

The obsession/need for new coats always starts in the middle of October.

The Fall already began, but only now we really start to feel the cold.

It's so rare the year that I don't desire one or more new model to join my 'collection',

after all, the trends are changing, some needs to be renewed, and others are simply love at first sight!

Leave you with the trend models for this season, that ones that have been so much seen during Fashion Weeks, that almost automatically become obsession.

No meu vocabulário, casaco vermelho é mesmo sinónimo de Inverno!

Não há nenhuma cor que mais associe à estação fria, e o contraste delicado e super bonito é quase sempre garantido com um bom casaco vermelho.

Ainda para mais, o meu está a precisar de uma urgente renovação!

In my head, red coat is the biggest synonymous of Winter!

There is no other color that I associate to the cold season like red, and the delicate and beautiful contrast is almost a certain we have when wearing a good red coat.

Even more, mine is really needing of renovation!
