Haute Couture Fall 2014

Oh Couture, what a season of pure beauty! The most inaccessible of all of us, but definitely the most beautiful to our eyes. There is no trends, there is no real life there, just an absolute fascination show after show, look after look. Once again, leave you with my 8 favorites.

Ohh Alta Costura, que semana de tamanha beleza! A mais distante de todas as temporadas da moda, pelo menos para nós, comuns mortais, mas definitivamente a mais bela de todas. Não há tendências para nos apaixonar, não há inspiração para a vida real aqui, apenas e só uma absoluta fascinação que inevitavelmente surge desfile após desfile, look após look. Aqui estão os meus 8 favoritos.

What there is to love? Starting with the more than beautiful striped and graphic looks in B&W, passing through the incredible 3D flowers (already a classic from Giambattista), ending with the indescribable degrade models. To die for.

O que há para amar? Começando pelos looks gráficos em preto e branco, passando pelas flores tridimensionais (já um clássico nos desfiles de Giambattista), e terminando nos indescritíveis modelos degrade. To die for.

Resort 2015 Report

The months of May and June were fulfilled of presentations for the Resort season, and it came so perfectly at this moment, after all, the most of the countries are starting to live the Summer right now, and Resort collections are all about funny colors, interesting patterns and fresh clothes, meaning, inspiration to wear in this precise moment! I've selected my favorite collections, and believe me when I say that it was a truly tricky thing to do, so in the end, we have the usual loose pieces.

Os meses de Maio e Junho são completamente preenchidos pelas apresentações da temporada Resort, e vêm em tão bom momento, afinal, estamos agora a viver o início do Verão, e as colecções Resort são tudo acerca de cores giras e divertidas, padrões interessantes e roupas frescas, o que significa, inspiração para vestir já, já, já! Seleccionei as minhas colecções favoritas, e acreditem quando digo que foi uma tarefa verdadeiramente complicada, e no final, temos as habituais peças soltas.

What there is to love? The fancy pencil skirts, made by really interesting and unusual fabrics, that were so perfectly mixed with the top garments.

O que há para amar? As saias lápis, feitas de tecidos interessantes e pouco usuais, que foram perfeitamente misturadas com todas as restantes peças.

Round-up into PFW

Algumas pessoas dizem que o melhor fica para o fim, e no caso concreto das Fashion Weeks serei forçada a concordar. Por mais que ame o frenetismo da NYFW (ver aqui!); por mais que sempre me impressione com a originalidade sempre presente na LFW (ver aqui!); ou por mais que adore toda a exuberância dos desfiles da MFW (ver aqui!); a verdade é que a Paris Fashion Week acaba sempre por ser a minha preferida, aquela onde se assiste ao reinventar de clássicos, onde desfilam os designers mais icónicos e que mais me fascinam! Tendo-se ontem dado o final da semana da moda de Paris, deixo-vos com os meus desfiles mais adorados, o que foi uma escolha mega difícil!

Some people use to say that the best always remains for the end, and in this concrete casa, about the major Fashion Weeks I would have to agree with that. For more that I love the frenetic feelings about NYFW (see it here!); for more that I always get impressed by the originality always present on LFW (see it here!); or for more that I adore all the exuberance that surrounds the fashion shows in MFW (see it here!); the truth is that my absolutely perfect fashion week always turns out to be the Paris Fashion Week. This is the one where we can see the reinvention of classics, where the most iconic designers presents their shows! As today was the last day, I'll leave you with my most loved fashion shows, what was surely a super hard decision!

 Ontem terminou mais uma das quatro grandes semanas da moda: a semana da moda de Milão, aquela que para mim surge como a mais irreverente, mais out of the box, mas que nem sempre atinge as minhas expectativas! Por isso, aqui está o já habitual post em modo resumo de tudo o que me conquistou. Começando pelas minhas colecções preferidas, claro, que se encontram mais ou menos ordenadas.

Yesterday was the end of the third of the for greatest fashion weeks: Milan fashion week, that one that tends to be the more irreverent, the more out of the box, but that sometimes didn't achieve my expectations, this was one of those times. After all, here it is my usual post resuming everything that conquer me. Beginning with my favorite collections.

E hoje foi o derradeiro dia da semana da moda de Nova Iorque, o último dia de desfiles daquela que foi considerada a melhor semana da moda do mundo. O que melhor do que compilar todos os favoritos e detalhes interessantes num só post? Não posso dizer que amei esta semana, mas se há coisa que é para aplaudir e admirar foi a realidade que por lá se viveu: pronto-a-vestir verdadeiramente pronto-a-vestir, do género pegar e inspirarmo-nos já neste preciso momento e sair à rua, nada de muita fantasia e irrealidade pelas passarelas, quase apenas e só inspiração verdadeira para mulheres reais por esse mundo fora.

And today was the last day of NYFW, the last day of fashion shows of that one that has been elected as the best fashion week in the world. What would be better for today than review every single favorite and interesting detail in one only post? I won't say that I loved a lot this week, but if there is something we could all admire and applaud, that's the reality that have been seen around there: ready to wear that was really ready to wear, like we could just look at those looks and inspire us for this precisely moment with similar pieces, nothing of too much fantasy on those fashions shows, almost just and only true inspiration for true women around the world.

As colecções de Alta Costura são sempre aquelas que mais nos fazem sonhar! Repletas de vestidos fazer sonhar qualquer princesa, com tecidos delicados, e designs majestosos... O que mais uma mulher pode desejar?

The Haute Couture collections always are the ones that make us dream the most! Fulfilled of dreamy princess dresses, with delicate fabrics, and fabulous designs... What else a woman can desire?

Pre-Fall 2014 II

E eis a continuação das colecções Pre-Fall 2014, ou pelo menos, aquelas que me deixaram rendida.

Here it are the continuation of Pre-Fall 2014 collections, or at least, those that make me fell in love.

Raf Simons é um génio da moda, a sério! Por mais queixas e críticas às formas pouco favorecedoras do corpo feminino, acredito que essas são as excepções, e que maioritariamente, os modelos são lindíssimos, femininos e cheios de classe, mas com um qualquer twist de originalidade! Aplausos para Raf Simons, mais uma vez!

Raf Simons is a fashion genius, seriously girls! I have been hearing some complains and critics about the shapes, not so friendly of the feminine body, but I believe those are exceptional cases, and that mainly, the models are superbly beautiful, feminine and full of class, but with some twist of originality! Once again, applause for Raf Simons!

Pre-Fall 2014

O mês de Dezembro foi sinónimo de colecções Pre-Fall 2014 a serem lançadas quase dia sim, dia sim... Sim, já são colecções para o próximo Inverno, ou melhor dizendo, para o tempo frio que antecede o próximo Inverno! Sendo que acabam por ser colecções quase acessórias às colecções principais, trazem-nos duas grandes vantagens: 1) quase sempre nos trazem indícios das grandes tendências que as grandes marcas pretendem lançar; e 2) são inspiração pronto-a-vestir, afinal, estamos em pleno Inverno, e todas as peças apresentadas se adequam perfeitamente ao tempo presente.

Deixo-vos com os meus mais mais preferidos, que admito serem muitos, ahaha.

The month of December was a synonymous of a bunch of Pre-Fall collections for 2014, almost like day yes, day yes... Yes, it's already collections for the next Winter, or in a better way to say, for the cold time that usually precedes the Winter! These collections are almost always an accessory of the main collections to be presented, so it have two big benefits for us: 1) it usually bring us some clues about the biggest next trends; and 2) it's literally inspiration ready to wear, after all, we are right in the Winter, so all the looks are perfectly adequated to the right now time.

Leave you with my more more favorites, that are a lot, ahaha.

Perfeitamente inspirador, não sou a maior fã das colecções Mulberry, mas desta vez, conseguiram-me mesmo impressionar com uma simplicidade trabalhada.

Perfectly inspiring! I'm not the biggest fan of Mulberry collections, but this time they totally get to impress me with this worked simplicity.

Loose Pieces from Fashion Weeks

Apenas e só algumas peças soltas que restaram das Fashion Weeks. "Mas o que é que são peças soltas!?", perguntariam vocês. São aqueles looks que me impressionaram imenso, mas que para azar deles ou não, a respectiva colecção não constou das minhas preferidas.

Acho que se pode considerar que as peças soltas se dividem em dois grupos: aqueles looks tão fabulosos que nos deixam de boca aberta; e os restantes looks que são pura inspiração para todos os dias, aliás, em muitos casos: inspiração já para agora mesmo, ainda em modo meia estação!

Deixo-vos então com as minhas '25 peças soltas'.

Just some 'loose pieces' remaining from Fashion Weeks. "But what are loose pieces!?", you ask.. Loose pieces are those looks that have impressed me a lot, but for bad luck or not, the remaining collection isn't on my favorites.

I think we can consider that loose pieces could be divided in two groups: that absolutely fabulous looks that leave us with our mouth open; and the others, that are pure inspiration for everyday, of that type that we can decide to wear just tomorrow!

 Segundo e último post sobre favoritos na LFW, e acho que as colecções dos últimos dias ainda ilustram mais claramente aquela intensidade a que eu me referia no post de ontem!

Não havia forma de não eleger o desfile da Burberry o meu preferido da LFW, tal como não havia hipótese alguma de apenas escolher 6 favoritos deste desfile fantástico!

O principal motivo para amar tanto a marca deve-se ao facto desta se manter sempre fiel à sua identidade, mas mesmo criar tendências e deixar-nos sempre apaixonadas.

 It's impossible for me to not elect the Burberry fashion show as my LFW favorite,

as it also impossible to only chose 6 favorites from this marvelous fashion show!

The main reason for my big love about Burberry is that the brand always maintains faithful to it identity, but even so, they always create gorgeous trends and always makes us fall in love.

LFW I

O que é que segue a NYFW!? A LFW, que apesar de menos frenética, me parece sempre mais intensa!

Talvez por ser a minha cidade preferida das que conheci até agora, talvez porque os designers me surpreendem sempre de uma forma tão positiva, realmente não sei, mas adoro!

And what comes after NYFW!? The LFW, that although less frenetic, always seems to me more intense!

Maybe because it's my favorite city in the world until now, maybe because all the designers always surprise me in such a great way, I really don't know, but I love it!

NYFW III

Hora de brincar novamente aos favoritos...

Já se sabe que o fim costuma ser sempre a melhor parte,

e nesta NYFW, a história repetiu-se, e os desfiles finais deixaram-me realmente impressionada!

Time to play favorites, once again...

We already know that the end turns to be the best,

and on this NYFW, the history repeats, so the final fashion shows completely impressed me!

NYFW II

A NYFW continua a toda a velocidade, sucedem-se desfiles atrás de desfiles,

e como sempre, montes de favoritos para partilhar.

Por outro lado tenho de admitir que tenho ficado pouco impressionada com os grandes designers, parece-me tudo muito igual e óbvio.

Para compensar, tenho-me vindo a apaixonar por imensos underrated!

The NYFW continues at full sped, there are lots of fashion shows happening everyday,

and as usual, lots of favorites to share.

But I must admit that I'm feeling little impressed with the biggest designers,

it all seems too obvious and equal.

To compensate, I've been falling in love with so many underrated designers!

NYFW I

Não há dúvida de que os meses das grandes semanas da moda são uma autêntica delícia para mim!

Fico sempre abismada com as colecções que os designers ano após ano nos apresentam,

e é raro não sair fã de um qualquer novo talento que ainda não conhecia.

A NYFW começou esta semana, e como de costume,

os primeiros a apresentar as suas colecções são os mais underrated, mas nem por isso deixam de me nos proporcionar imensos suspiros!

Deixo-vos com as colecções que mais me impressionaram.

There is no doubt that the months of the big Fashion Weeks are like a big and delicious candy for me!

I always feel stunned with the collections that designers present us year after year,

and it's so rare for me to not fall in love with a new designer that I didn't knew before.

NYFW started this week, and as usual,

the first ones presenting their collections are a little underrated, but it still provide me us lots of sighs!

Leave you with those collections that most impressed me.

The Return of Pink

No próximo Outono/Inverno, o cor-de-rosa chega-nos em toda a força.

Desde o clássico tweed Chanel, às linhas descontraídas de Blumarine,

sem esquecer os casacões e o já mais que habitual pêlo...

Nenhum tecido ou material deixou de lado esta cor deliciosa ao olhar,

e eu não podia estar mais feliz... Afinal, cor-de-rosa é mesmo a minha cor mais-que-tudo!

E o tom? Um rosinha amoroso, que por vezes quase se confunde com beige ou nude.

Quase sempre em look total, fica adorável combinado com outros tons de cor-de-rosa,

e em último caso, nada como outros tons suaves, como cinza ou creme para o vestir.

Next season, the pink arrives in all its strength.

Since the classic tweed Chanel, to the relaxed lines of Blumarine,

without letting go the big coats and the more than usual fur...

None fabric or material left this delicious color aside,

and I can't be more happy with that...

After all, pink is my more-than-everything color!

And the tone? A sweet clear pink, that sometimes can be confused with beige or nude.

Almost always in total look, it stays adorable matched with other pink tones,

and in last case, you can always bet in other light colors, as grey or cream.
